Jazzed Up Baked Beans
A quick and delicious side dish is my jazzed-up baked beans. It is so simple to prepare and it will taste as if you have been cooking this all day long. This is a perfect recipe to accompany any outdoor grilling you are doing, such as hamburgers, frankfurters, chicken, and my all time favorite Barbecue Beef Brisket.

Just tried this recipe tonight. I accidently changed the recipe just a little. I added 4 TBSP of brown sugar before I remembered it was supposed to be 2 Tbsp, but they were still great!!!! I did add 2 shakes of Frank’s Red Hot sauce (I like everything a little spicy)and I used the chili powder (actually Hot chili powder). These were really easy and the chili powder really perked them up. We will make these again!
Hi Bill George:
The added brown sugar was a good idea as it probably balanced out the additional hot spices. Great addition ideas!I also have tried a few slices of bacon on top of the beans before baking. Delicious!
