Cook’N Recipe Software

cook'n recipe organizer softwareAs long as I can remember, I have been interested in cooking.  I started cooking at nine years of age and it all started with watching my Mother and Aunts who were excellent cooks. Our home, and theirs, always had something cooking on the stove or baking in the oven. The aromas of bread baking and tomato sauce simmering beat any room freshener you can buy today! I was also very fortunate to have Home Economics taught in my middle school. All the girls were required to take this course, while the boys took Woodshop. I’m glad I was learning to make fudge versus building a birdhouse!

Paul Anka Concert – Becoming a Teenager for a Night

paul anka concertGeorge and I just got back from seeing a wonderful performance by Paul Anka. He was absolutely marvelous and the audience was so thrilled with his performance, they wouldn’t let him leave the stage after performing two hours straight.

His initial entry to the stage was through a side door into the theater and he went down the side aisle to the stage. I was sitting on the aisle and as he came closer to my seat I reached out my hand which he grabbed and gave me a strong handshake and a great big smile. Golly gee, I felt like a teenager all over again and my heart skipped a beat.

Alternative Pain Management

For thirty years I have researched and read as much as I could about nutrition, supplements and integrative (preventive) medicine. I believe we need to know our body, not just how it looks, but how it works and when it is working correctly and when it’s off kilter. There is so much information out there on the Internet and in books that can be used to help you to take care of your health and to teach you how to talk to your doctor, learn about the tests that are used in today’s medical field and the alternative approach to good health. The website that is most used and I found very helpful is www.webmd.com.

Retirement – A Time to Reinvent Yourself

retirement-ideasDuring our working years the one thing we look forward to is Retirement. It’s the time to enjoy leisurely days when you don’t need to look at the clock, you can take your time having a second cup of coffee, you can read the newspaper from front to back and you can go out to lunch and not worry if you will get finished in an hour. Your time is all yours!

Kindle2 Review

kindle2 review

I just received my Kindle 2 and I LOVE it! I ordered it after seeing how much my husband, George, was enjoying his. He was reading all the time and raved to others about the convenience and ease of using it. I posted his review of the Kindle and can be found on my blog, posted January 29th, 2009.
